Mike Daigle has over thirty years of experience in the Risk Management, Treasury and Employee Benefit fields. He is widely recognized throughout the industry for his expertise in merger and acquisition activity, state of the art executive risk protection, internet liability, and his creative approach to developing and negotiating risk management solutions.
Mr. Daigle started his career at The Hartford Insurance Group in 1978 as a premium auditor. Quickly mastering the job functions, he began his risk management career at Hubbell Incorporated in 1981 as an Assistant Risk Manager. Hubbell Incorporated is a $1B+ electrical products manufacturer and his primary responsibilities included the funding and negotiating of Hubbell’s risk, loss control and product liability programs. In 1987, Mr. Daigle progressed to Aetna Realty Investors Inc., a $24B real estate and mortgage investment firm, where he assumed increasingly responsible positions in Risk Management and Treasury. In 1993, Mr. Daigle joined Abex Inc., a Latona Associates Inc. merchant banking investment, as Director, Risk Management, where he was responsible for risk management, insurance and certain employee benefit programs.
In June 1995, Mr. Daigle became an employee of Fisher Scientific International Inc., another Latona related investment, where he was promoted to Assistant Treasurer. In this position, he was involved with the risk analysis and loss funding of numerous merger and acquisition targets, and the development of manuscript wording for Internet Liability, Directors & Officers, Fiduciary, and other executive risk products. He also became acting Treasurer in 1995 during a major acquisition where he obtained $300 million in acquisition financing from a consortium of banks. In 2000, he was promoted to Vice President, Risk Management and Human Resources for Fisher Scientific. In this very visible position, he remained responsible for Risk Management and assumed responsibility for Human Resources, pension and 401(k) asset investments, and medical, dental and vision employee benefit plans.
With his extensive corporate experience, Mr. Daigle decided to devote his efforts full time to the creation of a boutique risk management consulting and brokerage firm serving the sophisticated risk management market. In 2002, DataRisk LLC was re-capitalized and launched.
Mr. Daigle received a B.S. degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State College, and an MBA degree from the University of New Haven.
